CANADIAN MUSICIANS (OUTSIDE NL)

Deadline for Submissions: Monday November 03, 2008

Canadian musicians (outside Newfoundland & Labrador) should submit their materials (CD/CDR, press kit and cover letter) by November 03, 2008 in order to ensure that there is ample time to assess materials.

NOTE: Due to the high cost of travel in Canada, most Canadian musicians need to apply for a Touring Factor Grant from the Canada Council in order to facilitate working all or part of the Canadian Jazz Festival Circuit. Please also note that the deadline for Music Touring Grant(s) from the Canada Council is ~December 01, 2008. Click here for more information.

INTERNATIONAL MUSICIANS (OUTSIDE CANADA)

Deadline for Submissions: Monday November 03, 2008

International applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. However, many programming decisions take place in mid November, so it is recommended that kits (including CD/CDR, bio, press samples, etc.) be sent to our office ASAP.

NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR MUSICIANS

Deadline for Submissions: December 05, 2008

Please forward submission materials to the contact information above. Drop offs are also welcome between 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

NOTE: Musicians from outside of the St. John's area who are seeking travel and/or accommodations funding support can contact the Newfoundland & Labrador Arts Council, Labrador Cultural Outreach, or MusicNL to inquire about financial assistance available through their granting programs. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

All submissions should include the following:

• A playable CD/CDR (Electronic downloads or samples from any URL will not be accepted. CD jewel cases must also be clearly lebeled on the spine.
• A brief synopsis of your music and background, including press clippings (if applicable).
• A list of all group members' names and instruments.
• A stage plot with noted technical requirements.
• Any applicable GST number(s).
• Complete contact details.
